The SU-47 or S-37 as it as also known is a clear NO, it was never actually fully designed to go into production as it was an experimental aircraft.
The SU-37 has not goon into production either but they are up for export but most of the technology in the SU-37 is in the SU-30 MKI which is getting alot of export attention.

SU-30MKI (India) and the SU-37 are almost identical. From what my resources indicate, anyhow.

But, the SU-37 does have some differences, a few of its capabilites are above that of the MKI. Mainly climb, roll, both slight. Weapons capacity, not a great degree, but enough; Moreover the rate of climb for the "Terminator" is slightly quicker.

These are from a book called "Modern Fighter Aircraft." As I do not put much stock in Jane's or FAS.org.

For now the SU-27 and its mass produced varients are good enough, as DACT operations proven a MIG-29(an early import varient) flown by a trained pilot in a equal numbers situation can match up to the latest mod F-15, 16, or 18.

Thanks for the info.

Su-35 and Su-37 are almost identical, and Su-27 are upgrade to Su-35 in Russian Air Force.

I did have the image that a SU-47 modification could replace the Su-25/39. The foward sweep wings would be quite good at low level manuvers.

I don't know about the Su-37, but for the Su-47 (known as S-37) I think that it's waiting for a buyer to finance its production (at least a part of it). I think it's a great aircraft in air combat, but I haven't heard much about its strike capabilities though. Personally, I would love to see it in the Hellenic Air Force!

Su-47 is only a demonstrator aircraft. Will not go into productiom and service. But parts of it will be meet on PAK-FA maybe.
